La Santa Cecilia’s 2013 release Treinta Días” won wide critical acclaim, including Best of the Year selections by NPR and iTunes & many more - and went on to win this year’s Grammy Award for “Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album.” and named one of the best releases of 2013 by NPR, iTunes and more. The band’s heartfelt acceptance speech set off wide-ranging celebrations throughout Los Angeles and among young Latinos across the country. Now, the band named for the patron saint of musicians and seen as cultural ambassadors of a fully bilingual generation is quickly returning with another collection of their distinctive multicultural musical fusions. Released TODAY (March 4th) by Universal Latin, La Santa Cecilia’s “Someday New” finds the band once again teaming with Grammy-winning producer Sebastian Krys on tracks such as a heartfelt Spanglish rendition of The Beatles’ iconic “Strawberry Fields Forever”, the unforgettable Mexican classic "Como Dios Manda".
