Another World of Photography

Two of the highlights of the 38th edition of The Photography Show were the work of Brazilian photographer Andre Cunha and the work Argentine photographer Adriana Lestido.


Alexandre da Cunha

Brazilian artist Alexandre da Cunha ‘s exhibition “Amazons” opened this fall at CRG Gallery on the Lower East Side in New York City. The exhibit in New York is happening concurrently to the exhibition da Cunha’s large scale sculptural work in Chicago at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago’s MCA Plaza Project.

Da Cruz “Bola da Discoteca”

Da Cruz is the band of Brazilian singer Mariana Da Cruz. Their new work, Disco E Progresso, is a double album reflecting the two sides of modern Brazilian life, one bright, one dark. Check out the the first single ‘Bola da Discoteca’


Clinton Global Initiative in Rio

President Bill Clinton opened the the Clinton Global Initiative Latin America meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) meetings bring together political and business leaders and this is the first time the event is being held in Latin America. This meeting reflects the Clinton Foundation’s ongoing efforts to mobilize philanthropy and corporate social responsibility in all parts of the globe.

Rio Film Festival 2013

The 15th Festival do Rio (Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival) screened films from more than 60 countries at venues spread across the city. The festival took place from Thursday, September 26th through Thursday, October 10th. Click to learn more and see the trailers of the winning films.
