The Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro is one of the most famous football grounds in the world. It was here that Brazil lost to Uruguay in the 1950 World Cup final, the last time the tournament was held in Brazil. It is also the stadium where Pelé scored the 1,000th goal of his career.
