Choc Quib Town, the group that fuses hip hop with the music of the Colombia’s Pacific Coast united with the French rapper Oxmo Puccino to present a CD that unites the two continents. With ‘Paris Bogota’, they go beyond experimentation and attain a true rap fusion from Colombia’s Pacific Coast with a French accent.

It started in October of 2007, at the airport in Bogota. From Paris, Oxmo Puccino and DJ Cream arrive in Colombia for an artistic encounter with Choc Quib Town, one of the leading hip hop groups of Bogota. In the framework of an artistic residence, these two musical forces worked for fifteen days in a studio just north of Bogota. They are full days of exchanges, both musical and of human experience. A true dialogue of cultures around a common denominator and passion: rap. On October 13 of 2007, the public of Bogota discovers this alliance. Oxmo Puccino, DJ Cream and Choc Quib Town perform their collaborations at the edition XI of Hip Hop al Parque, the most important festival of its kind in Latin America, organized by the City of Bogota.

The testimony of this cultural and musical encounter is this CD. For more on Choc Quib Town and this collaboration, listen to the track “Llueve en la Ciudad” at http://www.myspace.com/chocquibtown
